Francisco Torrens is lecturer in physical chemistry at the Universitat de València. After obtaining a PhD in molecular associations in azines and macrocycles from the Universitat de València, he undertook postdoctoral research with Professor Rivail at the Université de Nancy I. More recently, he has collaborated on projects with Professors Tomás-Vert, Salgado and Castellano. Major research projects include prediction of the environmental impact of chemical substances using chemobioinformatics tools, discovery of new inhibitors of tyrosinase: computational design, synthesis, characterization and experimental corroboration, search for new antimicrobial agents that inhibit the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, minimal active domains of proteins of the Bcl 2 family, development and application of quantum chemistry methods and techniques to studies of drugs, analysis of pores of BAX at nanometric scale and study of the in vivo antioxidant capacity of phenolic compounds through QSAR/QSPR modelling: crossing of the blood-brain barrier and interactions with cytochromes and drugs. His scientific accomplishments include the first implementation in a computer at the Universitat de València of a program for the elucidation of crystallographic structures and the construction of the first computational-chemistry program adapted to a vector-facility supercomputer in a Spanish university.

Leticia M Estevinho received the Zootechnical Engineering degree (summa cum laude) in 1985 and the M.S. degree in biotechnology (with merit) in 1989. In 1995, finished the PhD degree in Science given by Minho University, Braga, Portugal. In 2009, passed with merit the proofs of Agregação - the last step in the academic career in Portugal. Estevinho has worked in Agricultural College of Braganca, Braganca, Portugal, since 1986 and has great experience in students’ coordination (16 PhD students and three Postdoctoral researchers). Leticia M. Estevinho has published more than 120 articles in indexed international journals, written five book chapters and has presented more 160 oral and written communications. Was the principal investigator of more than 25 scientific projects, totally financed, and has published 4 patents. She is the Head of the Microbiology Laboratory since 1986. Was the editor-in-chief of three journals and currently belongs to the editorial board of 19 international journals; has revised more than 300 articles of indexed journals. Nowadays, Estevinho serves as a Coordinator Professor with Agregação in the Polytechnic Institute of Braganca, Portugal.

He supervised Training and Scientific program for nanotechnology and evaluation methods since 2010. He supervised more than 35 master, MD and PhD Thesis. He was a reviewer in many different scientific journals.He was the Leader from TBRI side in the international collaboration with American University in Cairo. Quazi Monirul Islam, 25 years working in WHO retired as WHO Country Representative (WR, 2014-2017) to Namibia, February 2017 and joined Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine responsible for multi-country implementation research programme. He is a public health specialist with extensive experience in Health System. He worked in a rural health complex in Bangladesh before moving to Botswana in 1981. In 1991 joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands as a Public Health Consultant. In 1992, he joined WHO. He was the Director of Maternal and Newborn health in WHO/HQ and Health System in Regional office. He was assigned as WR, Thailand and subsequently WR, Namibia in 2014. He closely worked with Bilateral Donors, Development Banks, UN agencies, GAVI and Global Fund. He has visited and provided policy and strategic support to over 90 countries in six continents.
